A Call for Volunteers!

We need you help to keep this Audubon chapter running. If you are interested in helping, please volunteer your time. Here are some volunteer opportunities to work with our board:

Recording Secretary: Record the minutes of the Board meetings.

Field Trips: Come up with an idea for a field trip. Lead a field trip.

Fund Raising: Sell some pecans or bird seed to your friends. Call 10 or 15 members for contributions during our birdathon campaign - a task that would take just an hour or two once a year.

Audubon Adventures: Arrange with your 3rd and 4th grade teachers to subscribe to Audubon Adventures.

Courtyard Garden: If you would like to donate native plants for the garden please calll Jeanne Alpert at 946-1780.

The above list suggests just some of the areas where a few good people with great ideas and a willingness to devote some time could make a big difference. I believe those of you who are interested in nature and our natural environment would find great satisfaction in working with our dedicated and supportive board members to further the educational mission of CWAS.

Our board meets on the second Thursday of the month at the Church St. School. We invite all who are interested to attend one of our meetings. If you would like to take advantage of this invitation or wish to volunteer your time, please call Jeanne Alpert at (914) 946-1780. Remember, you can take on as small or as big a job as you wish - all contributions of time, energy and ideas are welcome.
